FAQs

Can I submit multiple runs in a day?

Yes! If you do multiple loops in a day and submit them as separate Strava activities, each one counts as its own entry in the daily drawing.

Do I have to run? Can I walk or jog?

Absolutely! Walk, jog, run — it’s all good. This challenge is about getting outside and moving. Every completed loop is an entry, no matter your pace.

How do I submit my run?

To submit your run for the challenge, follow these steps:

  1. Record your Central Park loop run using Strava
  2. Title your activity Daily Central Park Challenge
  3. Include daily.nyc/centralpark in your activity description
  4. Make sure your activity visibility is set to Everyone
  5. Come back here and paste your Strava activity link to submit
Why can’t I submit my Strava activity?

Make sure all of these requirements are met:

  1. Your activity title includes Daily Central Park Challenge
  2. Your activity description includes daily.nyc/centralpark
  3. Your activity visibility is set to Everyone (not Followers Only or Only You)
  4. Your Strava profile visibility is set to Everyone (not Followers)
What route is eligible for the challenge?

You can start anywhere on the Central Park outer loop, and go either direction. Your run must cover the full loop and have a minimum distance of 6.1 miles.

How is the completion time calculated?

We use the total time reported by Strava as your official completion time. Any pauses are included in this time. Your run must be at least 6.1 miles and cover the full loop.

How do you validate my entry?

We use your Strava data to validate submissions. We expect your activity to have a complete timeline with heart rate data, and for your result to be consistent with your previous running efforts.

If your public profile doesn't have enough history to support your result, we may reach out for additional information to confirm your time.

If I win, how do I get paid?

Once we verify your submission, we’ll send you information about how to receive your payment. Payouts typically take a few business days to process.

How is the daily winner selected?

Each day, we randomly select one winner from all verified submissions. Speed doesn’t matter — every completed run is an equal chance to win! Plus, everyone who completes the loop 5 times during the challenge will receive a limited-edition t-shirt.

Are there any prizes if I run the fastest time on a day?

Yes! The fastest male and female runners each day will get a limited-edition t-shirt. We will also announce some surprise prizes throughout the month—stay tuned!

When can I submit my run?

You must submit your run before midnight NYC time on the same calendar day as your run. For example, if you run on January 15th, you must submit before midnight on January 15th.

When are winners announced?

Daily winners are announced every day after we validate the previous day’s submissions. Follow us on Instagram for updates!
